Community Health Program Developer
Many city councils, businesses and government departments employ gym instructors to design health and activity programs for their staff and/or community. This can include everything from running and coordinating programs to developing brochures, flyers and other materials that promote all aspects of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Resort Activity Coordinator (island resorts, cruise ships and hotels)
Whether it is the Whitsunday Islands or a cruise ship, more and more employers are looking for activity coordinators with a Certificate III in Fitness.
Gym Receptionist
The only formal qualification you require to work on reception at a gym is Senior First Aid. Many people work on reception while completing their course to gain experience the fitness industry. This may develop into many roles including membership consultant, customer care or even personal training. Some of the most successful personal trainers in the industry started on reception.

A membership consultant is the person responsible for selling gym memberships. This can be an extremely profitable career and is the starting position for anyone who wants to be involved in managing or owning their own gym.
